I suppose that it was inevitable that the season would not end well once we knew that the last race would be a double [points affair.Fortunately F1 got rid of this nonsense after one try and an outcry from the fans which makes it all the more surprising that IndyCar decided to use it, but then motor sport, or auto racing, in America these days probably owes more to the model of professional wrestling to pure racing. The NASCAR competition caution and Chase format being prime example of how to screw up races and a championship.
Congratulations to Scott Dixon and the Ganassi crew, but we feel sad for them that their title is tainted.
