what is it about that DeltaWing thing? #IndyCar

When I first read about the DeltaWing it was in a magazine article and the proposition was that it could be the new IndyCar. Is Indy Racing about to push the self destruct button (again)? #Indycar

Let’s be clear from the start; I love IndyCars and have done so for nearly 50 years.

Growing up in the UK in the 50s and early 60s Indy racing was not much on my radar until 1964 when coverage on that tragic opening lap made international news. One of my heroes was Dan Gurney and through following his exploits I started to get a bit more into USAC racing generally over the next year or so and Graham Hill, another hero, winning in ’66 brought more interest. Weekend round up – 24th June 2012

This weekend has seen plenty of action around with the big leagues featuring #NASCAR from Sonoma, #IndyCar in short track mode over in Iowa, and #F1 from Valencia. The #Rolex sports car teams were at Watkins Glen #WGI  #F2 at Spa and the #BTCC at Croft in England’s North East. Continue reading →

why didn’t the Canadian GP start at 0800 EST? #F1

OK, so our tongue is firmly in cheek here, but if Bernie can put pressure on the Aussies to run their GP in the evening so that us European viewers can watch it at our normal GP viewing time why are the Canadian, and the US and Brazil for that matter, organisers not under pressure to start their races on 0800 EST?
